Call for Proposals

The theme for this year’s Convergence Conference is “Making Higher Education Accessible.” The program committee invites innovative, creative proposals that will engage, educate, and inspire those in attendance. Sessions at the 2016 Kentucky Convergence Conference may focus on innovations in instructional technology, best practices for higher education technology support, current issues for information professionals, shared concerns for Kentucky institutions, and advances in online learning and instructional design. Presenters and attendees at the Kentucky Convergence Conference will include leaders, innovators, managers, and decision-makers from the Information Technology, Library, and Distance Learning units of Kentucky’s colleges and universities.

This year’s theme emphasizes the work instructional designers, librarians, and IT staff do to make higher education more accessible to specific populations, such as students with disabilities, military or place-bound students, or students that have traditionally been underserved by colleges and universities, such as adult learners.
